I’m a firm believer that a little makeup goes a long way. It takes me about 10 minutes to get presentable in the morning if I’m wearing glasses.
Admittedly, if I’m wearing contacts, my face needs more love. This bare face needs defining and accentuating okay?
Anyway, I decided to share the difference I achieve when I have 10 minutes time to get ready.
All it takes is a layer of medium coverage foundation, translucent powder to set it with, a bronzer, blush, and my favorite lip combo.
It really comes down to finding products that flatter you and are easy to apply. My go-to products are:
Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Foundation in Sunlit Linen – The foundation I’ve found that least irritates my skin (no silicone!), is a good color match, and has decent coverage. The last time I purchased it, it was $16. But I’ve just checked Amazon and the lowest price it’s going for now is $23.99. Wow!
Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder – This is a powder I bought based on positive YouTube feedback I heard. It is great – it really sets and blurs your foundation, and creates a nice barrier. I do wish there was a pressed version though, it would save time.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – My favorite bronzer of all time, gives a perfect flat brown shade that really works wonders in terms of shaping your face and giving a nice tanned effect.
NARS Blush in Madly – My favorite blush of all time, a beautiful neutral seashell pink.
Kat Von D Lolita Lipstick & MAC Angel Lipstick – I use the dark lipstick on the outer perimeter of the lips and the light pink lipstick to lighten the center, very pretty nude effect.
With 20 minutes, I can do even more! Maybe I’ll do another post on that. I hope you enjoyed this mini power of makeup post! It really does wonders.
