LOTD: Ipsy & Sephora Products

Hello everyone! I’ve been subscribed to both Sephora and Ipsy for several months now, so I decided to do a “look of the day” combining products from six different boxes (plus a few other products from my collection).

Here are the products I used:

Play! by Sephora: It Cosmetics Concealer (OCT. 2017) | Benefit Brow Gel (SEP. 2017) | BAREMINERALS Gen Nude Liquid Lipstick (JUL. 2017)

Ipsy: Pixi by Petra Fresh Face Blush in Beach Rose (SEP. 2017) | Luna By Luna Cosmetics Baked Highlighter in Electra (FEB. 2018) | Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion (OCT. 2017)

Other: Schwing Black Liquid Eyeliner (theBalm Haul), Sephora Collection Wonderful Stars Eye and Face Palette (Christmas Gift), Tarte Mascara (part of 500 point Sephora reward)

I wasn’t able to solely use beauty box products because I simply didn’t have enough. But I did use a liquid lipstick, a blush, a highlighter (shown below), a concealer, an eyebrow gel, and an eyeliner. To complete the look I used relatively new makeup — a Sephora Collection palette I was gifted for Christmas, a Tarte mascara that was part of a 500 point Sephora reward, and theBalm’s Schwing Eyeliner for my liner.

The Look: I went for a very warm bronzed smokey eye, a flushed rosy complexion, and neutral pink lips. This could be a nice daytime look or nighttime look. It’s a very wearable and balanced.

I really gravitate towards doing warm shimmery eye looks, and this palette lent itself very easily to that.

The Products:

IT COSMETICS Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination™ Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer: This is the most potent, creamy, brightening concealer I have ever used. It makes the biggest difference in my complexion routine when I want to look flawless and I refuse to be without it. It’s holy grail.

BENEFIT COSMETICS Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel: I first tried this volumizing eyebrow gel on my own dime and I love it. The volumizing microfibers really pick up every brow hair and helps add natural looking thickness and definition.

BAREMINERALS GEN NUDE™ Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag: My opinion on this lip product really comes down to personal taste. The formulation was smooth and comfortable, but I would have preferred it to be a little less sweet pink (it almost pulls a little lilac in-person). However, it’s nothing that a deeper rose/brown-nude lip liner can’t fix.

PIXI BY PETRA Fresh Face Blush in Beach Rose: I love receiving blushes in my glam bags/boxes and this one by Pixi is in such a pretty shade. The only downside I found was that it isn’t the easiest to blend out and can look a bit patchy.

LUNA BY LUNA COSMETICS Baked Highlighter in Luna: The color of this highlighter is a beautiful warm mauve tint to it and it’s the kind of shade that’s very compatible with my collection. However, I did feel that the highlight accentuated some texture and wasn’t as finely milled as other highlighters I have.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion: No complaints whatsoever about this eyeliner. It’s jet black, super pigmented, easy to swipe on your waterline, and it really doesn’t get watery or fade throughout the day.

Thanks for taking the time to check out this post guys! It was a lot of fun to do and it’s a great way to update you on the products I’ve been sent. Check back in the near future for the next post in this series.
