Patrick Ta released his newest shade launches in January 2025. The two shades that appealed the most to me were She’s Seductive and She Goes to the Gym. I recently added Patrick Ta Beauty’s Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duos in She’s Seductive and She Goes to the Gym to my makeup collection. While the Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duos aren’t a new product, I wanted to provide a quick overview. Each blush duo retails for $38.00 USD and are available at Sephora and online at Patrick Ta Beauty. With 18 shades available, this blush is described as a viral duo compact of powder and cream flush formulas to achieve long-wearing bold colors that melt into skin for a beautiful, radiant glow. 

Shades

She’s Seductive – Described as a “warm rosey beige,” She’s Seductive is the blush tone I just couldn’t make my mind up about. I gravitate towards rose/neutral pink blushes and I couldn’t tell whether there was a hint of pink in the blush, or if I saw the term “rosey” and intuited that it had a slight rose hue. In real life, it’s almost more of a salmon color. What do you think?

She Goes to the Gym – Described as a “cool mauve rose,” this blush duo is the first true mauve that Patrick has released. Admittedly in real life I would say the creme comes across as more berry-toned, but after watching numerous TikTok videos, I decided to take the plunge even though I knew that it would likely be a bit deeper than I normally venture. As I said earlier, I personally gravitate towards mauve/rose/neutral pink tones. However, it does look very pretty.

Application/Swatches

Blush has always been one of my favorite makeup products, and I’m constantly on the lookout for that perfect pinky-neutral shade—that soft, flattering sweet spot. Think “pink,” “mauve,” “rose,” etc. Over time, I’ve refined my collection, learned what works for me, and found the blushes I reach for again and again. If you’re also obsessed with that just-right pink hue, here are the neutral pink blushes that have truly earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

My Collection At a Glance

Here are the products I’m giving you a close-up look at today – complete with swatches! This round-up includes blushes from Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Gucci, H&M, Hourglass, Kevyn Aucoin, Lorac, and MAC.

Blush Close-Up

The first blush featured is the LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush in the shade Cinematic, which retails for $23 and is available at Ulta, Lorac Cosmetics, and Amazon. I purchased this blush literally 10 years ago, and while I’ve hit pan on it, it’s still going strong. It is described as a “plum/brown matte” but I would say it’s more of a satin pinky tan shade which when built up, can lean a bit plum. It’s my go-to every day shade.

Next is the Gucci Luminous Matte Beauty Blush which retails for $49 and is available at Sephora, Gucci Beauty, and Nordstrom. It’s described as a “muted rose” and I have to say that this color has a drop more depth than most of my other neutral pink blushes. When I apply this, it’s more of a “dirty rose” that almost leans a bit plum. I enjoy it, but it is more of a select statement look for me.

This is the first of the two H&M Powder Blushers mentioned in this blog post — and I feel a bit guilty about including them, as they aren’t sold in the U.S. I brought these home with me after my trip to Poland in 2023 (priced at a very wallet-friendly £8.99 – $10.56 in dollars). “Warm Desert” is the perfect neutral pink flush of color. It’s not too brown, it’s not too pink – not tool cool and not too warm. Just that ‘Goldilocks’ pink shade.

Next is my favorite MAC blush and it’s from their Sheertone Blush line in the shade Blushbaby, which retails for $32 at MAC, Macy’s, and Ulta. It’s described as beige-pink and it is a true satin pink that leaves a gorgeous, warm pink flush on the cheeks. This is definitely one of the top three I reach for on a weekly basis.

It’s so funny that I was drawn to the MAC Powder Blush in Mocha because it greatly resembles Blushbaby (at least in the pan). It’s described as a “Soft plum-pink (matte)” but for some reason I just reach for Blushbaby more than this, and I think it’s because it’s almost a hint peachy on the cheeks – which directly opposes the term “plum” but I’m calling it like I see it. This blush retails for $32.

This is the Bobbi Brown blush in Coral Sugar and sadly, it appears to be discontinued. This does compute, as I vaguely recall finding this at a Cosmetics Company Outlet, although I can’t remember what I paid for it. I would describe this blush as a bright satin pink – I reach for it whenever I’m feeling extra girly. NOTE: The shade “Modern” keeps popping up whenever I try to search it, so maybe it’s been renamed but the color looks a little off to me.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Cheek to Chic Blush in Sex on Fire is described as a two-tone rose powder blusher and retails for $42. This is just a stunning blush that offers three shades in one – and there’s nothing like having a luxury blush to shine in your collection. This I purchased several years ago and I may just purchase a new one, because it doesn’t apply like it used to. It can be found at Sephora and Ulta.

The Hourglass Mini Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure is one of the most aesthetically pleasing blushes in my collection. Look at that gorgeous swirl of color – it’s just so perfectly pinky. It’s described on Sephora as a “soft plum blush fused with Mood Light to brighten the complexion” and I kind of internally cringe at that “plum” descriptor but it’s fine. One of the pricier blushes in my collection, this blush retails for $46 and can be found on Sephora, Hourglass Cosmetics, and Ulta.

This is an interesting addition to my collection – it’s the Kevyn Aucoin the Neo-Blush in Pink Sand, and it’s an ombre blush that ranges from light pink to deeper pink, to a coral. I like the pink side and almost never swirl my brush across to the coral. However, here is a full swatch across the entire pan. It retails for $40 on the Kevyn Aucoin website.

The H&M Blush in Desert Rose is the other blush that I picked up during my trip to Poland. It is close to Blushbaby in terms of the exact shade of pink it is – it’s a rich mid-tone satin pink, a true rose. I love this one and it is also in my top three.
