Black Friday Buys 2017

Black Friday 2017 was a week long shopping spree unlike anything I’ve ever seen or experienced. The. sales. were. epic. It was unreal. I basically gave myself everything I wanted for Christmas. Here’s what I picked up.

Hollister

Black Friday Deal: 40% off entire store Tue. Nov. 21 | 50% off entire store Wed. Nov. 22

Shine Chunky Turtleneck Sweater $29.97 (orig. $49.95) –  I love this chunky knit! This sweater feels super glamorous because it’s blush pink with gold metallic threading running through it. It’s actually more of a cropped style but I wanted it to feel a little oversized so I purchased in size Medium.

Express

Black Friday Deal: 50% off entire store

Oversized Half Zip Fleece Top $19.95 (orig. $69.90) – This zip-up fleece top from Express is the coziest, fluffiest thing ever! It’s so warm and just puffy enough so that I feel like a polar bear, not a pimp (like I did with this $89 mistake from Urban Outfitters). I had a $15 reward that knocked the price down to under $20!

Funnel Neck Sweater $35.94 (orig. $59.90) – I’m living for this red “jumper” as the Brits would say. It’s the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe because it’s substantial enough to stand up to the cold, and it’s in such a bold color! I’ve yet to own a red sweater. Plus I love the relaxed turtleneck and fit.

Cowl Neck Extreme Circle Hem Sweater $41.94 (orig. $69.90) – I love sweaters that are easy to pair with leggings, and this comfy plush cowl neck sweater totally fits the bill. It’s dressy enough for work but super cuddly at the same time. Plus, the extreme circle hem adds something quirky so that it’s eye-catching.

Express One Eleven Textured V-Neck London Tee $20.94 (orig. $34.90) – While browsing Express,  I was psyched to find this deceptively basic, but essential top – the kind you could own in about five different colors. It’s a great top to wear on its own or layer with and it’s super soft and smooth.

Metallic Cowl Neck Shaker Knit Sweater $41.94 (orig. $69.90) – I’m sure you can spot a theme now with my sweater choices. This is literally the same cowl neck sweater as above, but in a fun rainbow dotted/black print. It was so cozy and unique looking, I couldn’t pass up the chance to own it.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Black Friday Deal: 40% off entire store Mon. Nov. 20 | 50% off entire store Tue. Nov. 21

Long-Sleeve Henley $16.80 (orig. $28) – I shopped A&F during their 40% off sale because I wanted to get the best selection before the hordes teemed. I decided to get three tops, the first being this dark gray henley. It’s super slim fitting and perfect to throw a sweater over.

Notch Neck Top Mauve $14.40 (orig. $24) – I was really digging this color (mauve), which was one of A&F’s main featured colors this winter, so I decided to get this comfy casual top. In-person the color is a bit different than pictured online so I was a bit disappointed that it was more plum than mauve, but I still like it.

Cozy Long-Sleeve Pullover $20.40 (orig. $34) – How cute is this top? There’s something pajama-like about it and I like it. The material is really plush feeling and soft.

Garage

Black Friday Deal: 40% off entire site
Satin Short With Lace $14.97 (orig. $24.97) – I first saw these lacey pajama shorts in early November and thought they were cute. I decided to hold out for a sale to buy them since I couldn’t justify buying them full-price. I’m so glad I did! Everything I bought from Garage was 40% off.
Colourblock Cable Knit Beanie $10.17 ($16.95) – I bought two super comfy beanies from Garage, the kind that are rare to find (for me anyway). Beautifully knit, sturdy, secure, and thick.
Fur Pom Pom Beanie $8.97 (orig. $14.95) – So cute!

Esqido

Black Friday Deal: 30% off entire site
During Black Friday I finally got the opportunity to purchase Esqido lashes for the first time ever. I tried photographing the lashes but the photos didn’t come out very good and by the time I realized, I had already worn some of them. The styles I got are BFF (top), Voila (middle), and Unforgettable (bottom). The verdict is in – I love them. EXCEPT for Unforgettable which is so fine and thin that I almost can’t justify the cost ($28).

ZOYA

Black Friday Deal: 50% off entire site & free shipping

I have been curious about Zoya nail polishes for years, so when I saw their epic and hugely generous Black Friday deal, I jumped at the chance and went to their website. I purchased two Diamond Dust polishes and four neutral colors. From left to right I purchased: Natty | Tomoko | Normani | Aubrey | Godiva | Genevieve

Flutter Lashes

Black Friday Deal: 25% off entire site & free shipping

Lindsay $22.47 (orig. $29.95) – This is my ride or die lash, Lindsay by Flutter Lashes. They’re fluttery and voluminous, yet natural looking. They also curve to fit my eye so well, which is very important to me. The lash band is comfortable and seamless.

Steve Madden

Black Friday Deal: 30-35% off entire site & free shipping

Kendall Stone Nubuck $84.47 (orig. $129.95) – It has been a long time since I last purchased boots, so I went window shopping and found the best selection at Steve Madden. I ordered a few boots but ultimately only two made the cut, and this was one of them. They’re the perfect short, simple, and chic light taupe boots.

Reflect Cognac Nubuck $84.47 (orig. $129.95) – These boots, while similar to the first pair, are slightly different in structure. The heel height is 2.75 inches versus 1.75 inches, and surprisingly, my foot feels it. They’re just not as comfortable as the taupe pair, and after walking half a block I started to feel the left boot chafe my pinky toe. For $90, they’re a stylish pair of shoes but ultimately they don’t quite measure up.

That concludes my 2017 Black Friday buys. While I did pick up quite a lot, I got some great deals and scored all my finds between 30-50% off. Thanks for tuning in and checking out my post!
